Willett Lodge

Willett Lodge is a residential care home providing personal and nursing care to older people, including people living with dementia. The CQC rated the service Good, having previously found breaches that have since been resolved. Inspectors found risks such as choking were now managed safely, medicines were administered correctly, and the environment was more suited to people living with dementia.

Staff were well trained, supervised and knew people well, with a varied activities programme now in place. Mental capacity assessments were completed properly, and quality assurance gave managers good oversight. One shortfall remained: the registered manager had not always submitted required notifications about abuse allegations, though this was addressed during the assessment.

People and relatives spoke positively about staff and management.
