What they see each morning

One simple page. Four gentle things.

No menus to navigate. No buttons to find. Just open the page each morning and everything is there.

📅

Today, at a glance

The date, day of the week, and local weather in large, clear text. Helps them feel oriented without anyone having to keep reminding them.

👨‍👩‍👧

Faces they know

An auto-playing slideshow of family photos, with names and relationships shown alongside. Comforting reminders of who loves them.

💬

A question to talk about

A daily question designed to spark conversation and memories. Not a test or a task, just a gentle invitation to remember.

📔

Daily Thoughts

Each day they can write down whatever’s on their mind, no prompt or structure required. Family can log in and read what they wrote, their own words, not a care report.

Set up in 10 minutes

You do it. They just enjoy it.

No technical skills needed. If you can upload a photo to Facebook, you can set this up. Here's all there is to it:

Create their profile

Enter your loved one's name and postcode. That's all we need to show the right date and local weather.

About 2 minutes
2

Add family photos

Upload photos of close family members and add their names and relationships. These appear in a gentle slideshow each day.

About 5 minutes
3

Why it matters

Small things that make a big difference

Dementia can make each morning feel confusing. Memory Companion gives your loved one a gentle, familiar start to the day.

🧭

Daily orientation

Knowing what day it is, what the weather's doing, it grounds the whole morning in a warm, reassuring way.

❤️

Family connection

Seeing photos of the people who matter most, with their names and relationships, brings comfort throughout the day.

🗣️

Sparks conversation

A daily question gives carers and visitors something to talk about. It opens doors to memories and stories.

🤲

Zero burden on staff

No training, no logins, no IT support. Families set it up from their own phone. Care staff don't need to do a thing.

For care homes

Offer it to every resident's family, free

If you run a care home, Memory Companion is something you can point families to without any cost, training, or setup on your end. Families configure it themselves; you just share the link.

Your family's photos stay yours

We know you're trusting us with something precious: photos of the people you love most. Here's exactly how we handle that trust:

  • Photos are only shown on your loved one's daily page, nowhere else
  • We never sell data to anyone. No adverts on the daily page. Ever.
  • You can delete photos and the entire profile at any time
  • No tracking, no profiling, no selling to third parties

A note from the builder

“I built Memory Companion because I wanted something simple for families like mine. Not an app you have to download. Not a subscription. Not something that needs an IT department. Just a page that opens each morning and says: today is Friday, the weather's lovely, and these are the people who love you.”

Geoff, builder of Memory Companion

Questions

Things people ask

Is it really free?+
Yes. The daily page, photos, and diary are free, and they will stay free. There's no trial period, no hidden upgrade, no credit card needed. We built this to help families, not to charge them.
Do I need to install an app?+
No. Memory Companion is a web page. You open it in any browser on a tablet or phone, then save it to the home screen. It looks and feels like an app, but there’s nothing to download or install.
Will care home staff need to do anything?+
No. That's the point. Families set everything up from their own phone or computer: photos, names, relationships. Care staff don't need training, logins, or software. They just help the resident open the page each morning if needed.
Is it safe to upload family photos?+
Your photos are only displayed on your loved one's daily page. We don't share them, sell them, or use them for advertising. You can delete any photo or the entire profile at any time.
What if my loved one doesn't have a tablet?+
Memory Companion works on any device with a browser, a tablet, a phone, or even a computer. Many care homes have shared tablets available. You could also set it up on a simple, inexpensive Android tablet.
Does it work in a care home and at home?+
Yes. Whether your loved one lives in a care home, in supported living, or at home with you, Memory Companion works the same way. You just need a device with an internet connection.
What does the daily question do?+
Each day shows a gentle question like "Tell me about where you grew up." It’s designed to spark conversation and reminiscence, not to test or assess. A carer, visitor, or family member can write down what the person says, or they can simply think about it privately.
Can more than one family member manage it?+
Yes. You can share the profile access with other family members so anyone can add photos or update information. It’s designed to be a family effort.

Give them a gentler morning.
