About Hurst Nursing Home

Hurst Nursing Home is a nursing home in West Sussex. It provides accommodation and nursing care for older people, including those living with dementia. The findings below set out what CQC inspectors observed there.

Hurst Nursing Home provides accommodation and nursing care for up to 22 people in one adapted building. At inspection, 17 people were living there, including older people with long-term health conditions and dementia.

Staff had assessed risks to people's safety and taken action to mitigate them. Care plans detailed individual health needs and reflected the personalised care being delivered. People and their relatives were generally happy with the care received and felt safe with staff.

People were safeguarded from situations in which they may experience harm, and staff understood their responsibilities in protecting residents.
