Grasmere Nursing Home

Grasmere Nursing Home provides accommodation and nursing care for older people. The CQC rated the service as Requires Improvement overall, though some progress had been made since the previous inspection, which had identified three breaches.

Inspectors found a continuing breach in Well-led, relating to poor implementation of the Mental Capacity Act and weak oversight of audits and risk management. Elsewhere, staff were described as consistent, kind and knowledgeable, providing safe and effective support. People and relatives said they felt safe, well cared for and listened to, with one relative noting care had become "consistently good.
