A paid listing puts you above every free listing in your area, and takes rival homes off your page entirely. What every listing shows, free of charge
Wales and Northern Ireland are in development. Wales is dependent on CIW data access, and Northern Ireland has no headline ratings system, so we are not putting a date on either until we can do them properly.
Where we are, honestly
CareHomeGuide launched in March 2026. We are the newest of the UK care directories and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we do have is complete coverage, a search index that is growing every week, and a rate card that reflects where we are rather than where we would like to be.

Who is actually reading it
Nobody browses care homes for pleasure. Our visitors are adult children and spouses partway through a decision they did not want to make, usually working to a hospital discharge date. They arrive on a listing page, read the inspection detail, look at the photographs, and either pick up the phone or move on to the next home on the list.
That is the moment a paid listing is for. Not brand awareness, not impressions. The thirty seconds in which a family decides whether your home is worth a call.
Our growth work is backlinks from councils, NHS bodies, Healthwatch and charities rather than paid traffic. It is slower, and it is the reason our index has grown every month since launch.
