Amberley Lodge Care Home

Amberley Lodge provides personal and nursing care for up to 17 older people, with a particular focus on those living with dementia and age-related frailties. At inspection, 16 people were using the service.

Nurses safely administered medicines to residents and generally maintained good infection control practices. However, inspectors observed one nurse failing to wash their hands between administering medicines to different people, a concern the registered manager addressed immediately during the visit.

Quality assurance processes were not always sufficiently robust to ensure effective managerial oversight and monitoring of the service.
