Southlawns

Southlawns is a residential care home providing personal care without nursing to 39 older people, with capacity for up to 40 residents. The home also welcomes some people during the day for social activities. Residents reported feeling happy and safe at the home.

While medicines were administered safely to residents, the management of medicines overall was not always secure. Most risks to residents had been identified with appropriate mitigation strategies in place, though some staff training and guidance was lacking for people with specific health conditions. The provider and management team conducted regular audits to identify concerns and drive continuous improvement in the quality of support offered.
