Ashley House - Langport

Ashley House in Langport is a care home providing personal care for older people, including those living with dementia, for up to 25 residents. The CQC rated the home Good overall, finding that previous concerns around staffing and governance had been resolved. Inspectors found staff training had improved, care plans were detailed and person-centred, and there were enough staff to meet people’s needs.

Some improvements were still needed around medicines management, particularly recording of prescribed creams, and a few recruitment record gaps for auxiliary staff. Two statutory notifications had not been submitted as required. Residents spoke warmly of kind, attentive staff and said they felt safe and well cared for.
