The Cyder Barn

The Cyder Barn provides personal care to 28 people aged 65 and over, with capacity for up to 40 residents. Staff administer medicines in a safe and caring way, with trained day staff who have their competency regularly checked. People are also supported to manage their own medicines where appropriate, with staff conducting risk assessments to ensure this is done safely.

Some improvements are needed in medicines record management. Information for staff about when to give as-required medicines is not always completed, which could affect the consistency of care delivery.
