Red Oaks

Red Oaks provides nursing and personal care for up to 64 older people, with 52 residents living at the service at the time of inspection. Residents have a range of needs associated with older age, including physical frailty and dementia. The home facilitates visits in line with government guidance, offering residents a variety of visiting options including use of a dedicated visiting suite, grounds access, and in-house visits. Processes are in place to check COVID-19 passport status for visiting professionals and contractors.

The service maintains robust cleaning schedules for bedrooms and communal spaces, with particular attention to sanitising high touch areas. Staff have received training in infection prevention and control, and a designated IPC champion conducts regular audits to drive continual improvements. Staff are observed wearing personal protective equipment appropriately, supporting safe infection control practices throughout the home.
