Valerie Manor

Valerie Manor is a nursing home in West Sussex providing care and support for up to 23 people, including nursing care. At the time of the assessment, 16 people were living there. The CQC rated the home Good overall, finding people were protected from harm, received effective care based on good practice, and were supported by staff who knew them well.

Inspectors found that staffing levels were not always sufficient, meaning care was sometimes rushed and activities did not always meet individual interests, particularly for those staying in their rooms. Frequent changes in management had affected staff morale, though the new manager was beginning to stabilise leadership. People and relatives generally described staff as kind and approachable, and felt safe and well cared for.
