Parkside Nursing Home in Surrey provides nursing and residential care for older people, younger adults, people living with dementia and those with physical disabilities. The CQC's overall rating is Requires Improvement, following a focused inspection prompted by concerns about choking risk and mealtime support after a person using the service died.

Inspectors found people were cared for by staff described as caring and respectful, but identified serious safety concerns, including unsafe management of risk, insufficient staffing, poor infection control and cleanliness, and weak governance that had not embedded improvements. A new manager had been recruited and staff felt supported, though some felt their concerns had not always been listened to.
