Birtley House Nursing Home

Birtley House Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care for up to 47 older people in a single adapted building. At the time of inspection, 33 residents were living at the home.

Residents felt safe and their risks were properly identified and assessed, with staff following clear guidance to mitigate these risks. Staffing levels were sufficient to meet people's needs. One resident said, "My feeling is that staff come promptly. I need to ring the bell at night-time because I use a bed pan and staff come quickly."
