Guildford House Care Home

Signature at Guildford provides personal and nursing care for up to 101 residents across three floors, with the top floor specially adapted for people living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 81 people were living at the service. Residents and their relatives reported that staff were kind and caring, and they felt safe. There were sufficient staff to meet people's needs, and staff demonstrated awareness of care-related risks while supporting residents to maintain their independence.

Medicines were managed safely, and people had good access to healthcare professionals, confirmed through care records. The home had completed safety checks of the premises and fire safety procedures, with individual emergency evacuation plans in place for all residents. Staff understood their whistleblowing responsibilities and how to raise concerns. People were supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff working in the least restrictive way possible and in residents' best interests.
