About Vecta House

Vecta House is a nursing care home on the Isle of Wight, providing dementia care in a purpose-built setting. Details of its most recent CQC inspection are set out below.

This residential care home provides nursing care to 54 people living with dementia in a purpose-built facility with single ensuite bedrooms on the ground floor. The home is organised into three separate units, each with dining rooms, lounges, bathrooms and access to safe gardens and courtyards. Staff supported people to have maximum choice and control in their lives, using the least restrictive practices and acting in their best interests.

Care plans contained detailed information about each person's needs, and care was regularly reviewed to ensure it continued to meet them appropriately. Both people and relatives gave positive feedback about the home, describing staff as kind and caring, and inspectors observed positive communication between staff, residents and families. Individual and environmental risks were managed appropriately throughout the service.
