Tilford Care & Nursing Home

Tilford Care Nursing Home provides accommodation and nursing care for up to 50 people, including those living with dementia and people with complex health needs. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, identifying breaches around safe care, dignity and governance. Inspectors found poor moving and handling practices, inconsistent medicines records, gaps in monitoring people at risk of weight loss or constipation, and staff deployment that left some people waiting at mealtimes.

On the positive side, inspectors found staff knew how to raise safeguarding concerns and worked well with health professionals. People and relatives described staff as kind, felt well cared for, and said rooms were kept clean. Management had begun action planning, though oversight had not previously caught the shortfalls identified.
