About Huntington House

Huntington House is a nursing home in Surrey, providing care and support to older people. The findings below set out what the CQC found on inspection.

Huntington House is a nursing home providing personal care to up to 39 people across two floors. At the time of inspection, 26 people were living there. Staff had received training in safe use and disposal of personal protective equipment, and the registered manager conducted regular audits of handwashing and PPE compliance.

The home maintained high standards of cleanliness, with additional cleaning of high-touch areas throughout the day and investment in hygiene products to minimise infection spread.

The home tested people, visitors and staff for COVID-19 in line with government guidance. Where people had confirmed COVID-19, designated staff were allocated to support them using separate entrances and avoiding communal areas to reduce transmission risk. Each person had a risk assessment in place detailing how their care would be provided should they test positive for the virus.
