Melbreck, in Surrey, is a nursing home providing personal and nursing care to up to 26 people with learning disabilities and complex needs. The CQC rated it Good overall, an improvement on its previous rating, and found no concerns following a recent safeguarding incident.

Inspectors found some shortfalls in medicines management and gaps in staff knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act, but the provider acted quickly to put these right. Staff were described as kind and attentive, risks were well managed, and people were supported to take part in activities of their choice. Relatives said their family members were safe, happy and well cared for.
