The Tudors Care Home

The Tudors Care Home accommodates up to 44 older people and those living with dementia in a two-storey adapted building. During inspection, 37 people were using the service. Staff supported individuals to write their own care plans, ensuring care was truly personal and tailored to each person's preferences. People lived meaningful lives and their sense of achievement was actively promoted—one resident was invited to appear on local radio and was delighted to share this experience with relatives.

The home enhanced people's independence and communication through access to systems and technology, including support in people's own languages, pictures, audio books and braille. Staff demonstrated compassion and sensitivity to people's individual cultures and circumstances. Complaints were used constructively to drive improvements. The registered manager was approachable, listened to concerns and took action. One person expressed their wish to spend their end of life at the home in peaceful solitude, reflecting the trust and care they experienced.
