Lavender House Care Home

Lavender House provides personal care to older people in a single adapted building with capacity for up to 36 residents. During the inspection, the service had implemented strict infection control measures including temperature checks and health questionnaires for essential visitors, who used a dedicated visiting room with a built-in communication system. A booking system was in place for relatives to schedule visits once restrictions eased.

Staff worked in full personal protective equipment to protect both themselves and residents, and the registered manager had reorganised systems to reduce infection spread, including a separate staff entrance with a dedicated changing area where staff put on clean laundered uniforms before beginning their shifts.
