The Trees

The Trees provides accommodation and nursing or personal care for up to 19 adults with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and physical disabilities on both short and long-term bases. The purpose-built home is organised into three units—Beachwood, Ashwood, and Cedarwood—each offering communal and private living spaces. At the time of inspection, seven people were receiving regular care with three in respite care.

The service has made improvements in recognising when people show signs of distress. A distress assessment tool has been implemented and added to individual medicine care plans for people who require 'as required' medicines. This addresses previous concerns identified by inspectors about staff's ability to appropriately administer medications during times of distress.
