About Kingly House

Kingly House is a residential care home in Leicestershire, providing accommodation and support for adults living with acquired brain injuries and Huntington's disease. Details of the most recent CQC findings are set out below.

Kingly House provides accommodation and support for up to 17 adults with acquired brain injuries and Huntingdon's disease, with 13 people living there at the time of assessment. The CQC rated the service Good overall, finding it had resolved previous staffing concerns and now employed well trained, well supported staff. Inspectors found a strong learning culture, with incidents used to improve safety, and people spoke of feeling happy and well known by staff.

People were treated with kindness, encouraged to maintain relationships and pursue interests, and supported to give informed consent to their care. Feedback was taken seriously and used to improve meals, outings and the environment. Some relatives felt communication about resolving issues could still improve.
