Stafford Hall, in Essex, is a residential care home providing accommodation and personal care for up to 40 older people. The CQC rated the service good overall, an improvement from the previous requires improvement rating. Inspectors found the registered manager had made significant progress on staffing levels and governance, and the provider was no longer in breach of regulations in these areas.

People living at the home and their relatives told inspectors they felt safe and well cared for, describing warm relationships with staff and a lively, homely atmosphere. Inspectors observed meaningful activities and positive interactions throughout the visit, with residents speaking positively about their rooms and daily life at the home.

Stafford Hall is a residential care home providing accommodation with personal care for up to 40 people. The service provides care to older people. An unannounced site visit to the home was carried out on 17 June 2024. At the time of our assessment 28 people were being supported with personal care at the service. The registered manager made significant improvements around staffing and governance of the service since our last inspection. The provider was no longer in breach of regulations in safe staffing and good governance at the point of this assessment. The rating at our last inspection (published 08 December 2022) was requires improvement. At this assessment we found the service had improved and the rating is now good based on the review of the quality statements in Safe, Caring, responsive and Well-Led only.
