St Peter's Care and Nursing Home

St Peter's provides nursing and personal care for up to 57 older people with varied healthcare needs, including stroke, diabetes, and Parkinson's disease. Currently 44 residents live there, most requiring support from two staff members for mobility and personal care. The home is part of a larger retirement village.

Staff are trained to recognise signs of abuse and understand how to support people safely. Care plans and risk assessments help protect residents' safety and well-being. Governance systems have improved and are being used consistently to enhance the service. One resident commented, "It's a nice and safe place to live." However, daily records regarding some residents' hydration support need improvement, with fluid charts recorded inconsistently, which could affect staff's ability to monitor health and wellbeing effectively.
