Bay House Nursing Home accommodates up to 36 older people and people living with dementia across three floors. At inspection, 33 people were using the service. Staff are trained to recognise signs of abuse and support people safely, with care plans and risk assessments in place to protect safety and wellbeing. People are supported to take positive risks and maintain choice and control over their lives. Medicines are administered safely by trained and competent staff, and the home is well maintained and comfortable. Residents expressed positive experiences, with one saying "I feel safe here, the staff are very kind" and another stating "I'm safe and well looked after." The registered manager addressed areas for improvement including management of declined medicines and dietary provision through an action plan.
