St Dominics Residential Home

St Dominics Residential Home is a residential care home for older people, including those living with dementia, supporting 37 people at the time of assessment. The CQC rated the service Good overall. Inspectors found staff to be kind, attentive and knowledgeable, treating people as individuals and respecting their privacy and choices.

People and relatives spoke positively about care, meals and activities, describing staff as caring and well trained.

However, the CQC found that risk assessment, incident monitoring and medicines oversight were not always robust, and governance systems, while in place, were not consistently effective. Leaders were visible and supportive, and the provider was responsive to feedback, working to make ongoing improvements.
