Southwold House

Southwold House is a care home registered to support up to 12 people with a learning disability who need personal care, without nursing provision. At the time of assessment, 8 people lived at the home, across accommodation on three floors with a large garden and good access to the local community.

The CQC found the service performing well overall. Staff were suitably trained and recruited, worked well with health professionals, and supported people to take medicines safely and take part in activities they enjoyed. Relatives spoke positively about the care provided, and inspectors found good oversight and governance in place, with people supported to make choices in the least restrictive way possible.
