Chalkwell Grange

Chalkwell Grange provides accommodation and personal care to up to 48 older people, some living with dementia. At inspection, 41 people were living at the service. Medicines were not always managed safely, with inaccurate stock reconciliation meaning people did not consistently receive their prescribed medications. Staffing levels were insufficient, particularly on the first floor, leaving communal areas inadequately monitored. Risk management processes identified potential risks but the controls put in place were not always effective in mitigating them.
