Ruislip Nursing Home

Ruislip Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care to up to 31 older people, including those living with dementia and those receiving end-of-life care. The service has effective safeguarding systems in place, with staff trained to respond to concerns. Safe recruitment procedures are followed and staffing levels meet people's needs. Medicines are managed safely and people are supported to make choices about their care in the least restrictive way possible.

However, inspectors found that risk assessments and mitigation plans were not always updated following incidents to reflect lessons learned or include preventative measures. While the provider had systems to monitor and improve service delivery, these were not always working effectively. Inspectors recommended the provider review current infection prevention and control guidance and update their practices accordingly.
