St Vincent's Nursing Home

St Vincent's Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care to 60 people aged 65 and over, with four separate units offering individual bedrooms with en-suite facilities and communal areas. At inspection, 57 residents were living at the home. The service supports general nursing and end of life care needs.

The home was clean throughout, with care workers having access to personal protective equipment and hand gel positioned around each unit. Visitors were welcomed and provided with PPE, while temperature checks and COVID-19 tests were carried out on arrival. Vaccination status was recorded for professionals and contractors. However, inspectors identified that the home had closed to all visitors, including essential care givers, on three occasions, which did not align with government guidance at the time. Senior staff confirmed that future visiting decisions would follow current guidance.
