Portelet Manor Rest Home

Portelet Manor Rest Home provides personal care to up to 28 older people, including those with learning disabilities and dementia. At inspection, 23 people were being supported by the home.

Inspectors found inconsistencies in care plans that meant staff did not always have access to the most current information about people's care needs. Not all risks to people had been properly assessed. Quality assurance processes were not consistently effective, and while medicines were generally managed safely, audit checks of medicine administration records were not always completed in line with the provider's policy or best practice. The provider addressed these shortfalls during the inspection.
