Peldon Campus

Peldon Campus provides care and support for 20 people with learning disabilities across supported living accommodation and a residential care home on the same campus. During inspection, inspectors found several examples of good practice. The service had created a safe space for visitors and implemented a booking system to stagger visiting times while maintaining social distancing. Staff received training in Personal Protective Equipment use, with designated areas established for putting on and removing PPE, and safe disposal procedures in place. Cleaning schedules were maintained throughout the service. To counteract the effects of isolation, the service provided meaningful activities for residents. The registered manager prioritised routine and regular testing of staff, people, and visitors to mitigate the risk of asymptomatic spread.
