About Maple Manor

Maple Manor is a residential care home in Essex, offering support to people with a learning disability and autistic people. Details of the CQC's most recent inspection findings are set out below.

Maple Manor is a small care home supporting up to five people with a learning disability and autistic people. The CQC found staff were kind, person-centred and helped people build independence, achieve personal goals and stay safe, with risk assessments used sensitively rather than restrictively. Relatives spoke warmly of the staff and atmosphere, with one describing it as "a fantastic place.

Previous breaches around safe care and governance had been resolved. However, inspectors found the registered manager's time had been split with another service, reducing oversight at Maple Manor, meaning the provider had not shown a stable, well-planned approach to leadership there.
