Palmarium

Palmarium is a care home providing support for up to six people with learning disabilities and sensory impairments. At the time of assessment, all six places were occupied. The CQC rated the service Good overall, finding staff kept people safe with personalised risk assessments in place, staffing levels were consistent, and care plans reflected individual needs.

Inspectors found staff were caring and respectful, and relatives felt able to visit freely and raise concerns with management. However, some relatives felt people were not always safe or listened to, and improvements were needed in medicines record-keeping and in providing enough activities outside the home.
