OSJCT Seymour House

This care home provides residential and dementia care for up to 42 people in a purpose-built, two-storey building with communal lounges, dining areas, and large gardens. At the time of inspection, 39 people were living at the home.

Inspectors identified concerns with infection control practices. Most people on the first floor had tested positive for COVID-19. The home was not consistently following best practice guidance, with inspectors observing a clinical waste bag left on a bedroom floor with contents scattered on the carpet. A staff member was also seen not following safe waste disposal procedures.
