Homebeech

Homebeech provides personal and nursing care to up to 66 people, including younger and older adults with physical disabilities, mental health needs, dementia, or learning disabilities. At inspection, 55 people were using the service. However, inspectors found significant concerns about safety and care quality. COVID-19 infection prevention measures were not robust, with visiting professionals not always asked to provide proof of lateral flow test results. Medicines were not consistently stored safely, with expiry dates not always checked. Staff did not always communicate with people before assisting them in wheelchairs, and some confidential information was accessible to those who did not need to know it.

Care was not consistently person-centred. People's records did not always contain specific techniques to support those experiencing anxiety, and some people receiving end of life care had only basic care plans that did not enable staff to provide personalised support.
