Burlington Nursing Home

Burlington Nursing Home provides nursing and personal care to people aged 65 and over, including those living with dementia or requiring physical health support. The home has capacity for 40 people and was caring for 32 residents at inspection.

Inspectors identified concerns with recruitment practices, finding that staff were not always recruited safely and character assurances were not consistently sought before employment began. The registered manager took immediate steps to address these issues. While systems existed to monitor service quality and drive improvement, they were not sufficiently robust to ensure recruitment checks were completed appropriately.
