Burlington Nursing Home

Burlington Nursing Home is a residential service providing support to adults of all ages living with dementia and/or with nursing needs. The assessment was prompted by concerns about managing behaviour that challenges, and previous breaches around staffing and governance. The CQC found these had been resolved, with sufficient trained staff, well-managed risks and medicines, and thorough investigation of incidents.

Inspectors found people were treated as individuals, involved in decisions about their care, and supported to maintain relationships with family and friends. People described staff as kind, caring and approachable, with confidence in the registered manager. Leaders showed a culture of listening, learning and improvement, and the service was rated Good overall.
