Heatherdene Nursing Home

This nursing home provides personal and nursing care for up to 27 older people, with 24 residents supported at the time of inspection across one adapted building. Staff are well-trained and safely recruited, with ongoing training, supervision and appraisals to ensure they have the skills needed for their roles. People receive medicines in accordance with prescription guidelines, and staff follow appropriate infection control processes and policies to keep residents safe.

The service has systems in place to assess and monitor risk, designed to prevent avoidable harm to residents. Staff demonstrate awareness of safeguarding and infection control procedures, and the home maintains clear processes for managing accidents and incidents.
