Grove Lodge

Grove Lodge is a residential home providing care for older people, including those living with dementia, and supported 17 people at the time of assessment. Families spoke warmly of the care given, describing a friendly, homely atmosphere where staff worked closely with people and relatives to plan personalised support.

The CQC found overall performance good, though governance remained weak. Inspectors identified concerns around visiting arrangements, fire and water safety, and staffing levels that management systems had failed to pick up, leaving the provider still in breach of regulations on good governance and on independence, choice and control, despite some immediate action taken during the inspection.
