Cheriton Care Home

Cheriton Care Home is a residential care home providing personal care to 56 people aged 65 and over, with capacity for up to 71 residents across two wings. The service does not provide nursing care. Staff demonstrated good knowledge of safeguarding procedures and were recruited safely with proper identity checks completed before employment. Adequate staffing levels were available on each shift to ensure safe care, and medicines were managed, stored and administered safely by trained staff whose competency was regularly assessed.

The home maintained compliance with COVID-19 guidance, including appropriate cleaning and infection control procedures, as well as government testing requirements for residents, staff and visitors. Residents and their relatives reported feeling safe and satisfied with the level of care and support received at the home.
