Cheriton Care Home provides personal care for up to 71 people, some living with dementia, without nursing support. The CQC assessment, prompted by concerns about safe care, found the home was performing well overall and continued to meet its rating of Good. Inspectors were assured that people's health needs were addressed promptly, with monitoring in place to protect them from avoidable harm.

People described feeling safe and well cared for, praising staff warmth and attentiveness. Visitors were welcomed at any time and could use communal spaces rather than being restricted to bedrooms. Health and social care professionals reported an open, transparent culture and a staff team committed to delivering quality care.
