Firtree House Nursing Home

Firtree House Nursing Home provides accommodation and nursing care for up to 35 people, including those with physical and mental health conditions and people living with dementia. The CQC rated the service Good overall, finding a settled, caring culture where staff felt supported and worked closely with health and social care professionals.

Inspectors did identify some shortfalls, including inconsistent storage of medicines, an air mattress not correctly set, and gaps in staff recruitment checks. Management acted quickly to address these once raised. Overall, people living at the home said staff were kind and attentive, and their independence, choice and individual needs were well supported.
