About Fairland House

Fairland House is a residential care home in Norfolk, providing care for older people, including those living with dementia. Details of the most recent CQC findings are set out below.

Fairland House is a care home without nursing, supporting up to 34 older people, including those living with dementia. The CQC found the service had made significant improvements since a previous inspection identified breaches around safety, staffing and governance, with better cleanliness, staffing levels, medicines management and activities now in place. Relatives described kind, familiar staff and improved communication.

However, governance remained an area requiring improvement. Inspectors found care plans were not consistently reviewed, incident reporting was still inconsistent, and a significant incident had not been reported appropriately. High agency staff use and thin weekend staffing also affected consistency of care, though a newly appointed manager had brought some stability.
