Eagles Mount Care Home

Eagles Mount provides accommodation and care for up to 72 people requiring nursing or personal care, including those living with dementia. The purpose-built facility spans four floors with a working café on the ground floor. At inspection, 48 people were using the service.

While staff demonstrated kindness and caring attitudes, inspectors identified widespread shortfalls placing people at risk of harm. Safeguarding concerns were not consistently reported to the local authority, preventing external scrutiny in two instances. Risk assessments for health, safety, and wellbeing had not been completed for all residents, and not every person had a care plan in place to ensure person-centred care. Staffing levels were sometimes insufficient to meet care needs, and some staff had not completed required training or refresher courses. The provider and registered manager's governance systems failed to identify these shortfalls, leaving residents vulnerable.
