Encompass Care Respite Accommodation and Outreach Service

Prince of Wales Road is a respite care home providing accommodation for up to eight people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and complex or sensory support needs. The two-storey home near the town centre offers seven rooms and a self-contained flat.

The home maintains adequate staffing levels to keep people safe and meet their needs. Staff receive training in safeguarding and understand how to raise concerns both internally and externally. Safe recruitment processes ensure staff are suitable to work with vulnerable people. Before arriving for respite, people's needs are thoroughly assessed with input from the individual, their relatives, regular support staff, and health professionals. Staff demonstrate the skills, experience, and attitude needed to support people's individual requirements and help them enjoy their stay.
