Care @ Rainbow's End

Inspectors found significant concerns regarding residents' autonomy and safety. Mental capacity assessments had not been conducted robustly, meaning people were not consistently supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives or decisions made in their best interests. The home lacked effective safeguarding processes and systems to protect residents from harm, with staff demonstrating unclear understanding of when safeguarding concerns should be reported to appropriate authorities. Additionally, staff had not received appropriate training and competency checks to safely support the people living in the home.
