The Old Orchard Care Home

The Old Orchard is a residential care home providing personal care for up to 5 people with learning disabilities and autistic people. At the time of inspection, all 5 registered places were occupied. The home offers a safe, well-equipped and well-maintained environment where people can personalise their rooms according to their preferences. Staff help people access specialist health and social care support in the community.

However, staffing levels were insufficient to meet assessed needs for one-to-one support or to enable people to follow their interests and participate in activities outside the home. This limitation in staffing prevented people from having maximum choice and control over their lives and daily activities.
