Broome Park Nursing Home

Broome Park Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care for up to 56 people across two buildings, supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, dementia and older people requiring nursing care. At inspection, 51 people were using the service. The home offers limited access to meaningful activities, and care plans lack personalisation to individual needs. People have few opportunities to identify their own goals and shape the support they receive, with some lacking end of life care planning. Risk management is poor, affecting people's safety, and the service relies heavily on agency staff unfamiliar with residents' needs. However, people with learning disabilities are supported by a settled, consistent staff team in one section of the home who know their needs well.
