Deepdene Care Centre

Deepdene Care Centre provides personal and nursing care for up to 66 people, accommodating them across three floors with lounge and dining areas on each level. The service supports people living with dementia and those with long-term health conditions. At the time of inspection, 42 people were receiving care with only two floors in use due to the top floor being closed for refurbishment.

Staff did not always support people to have maximum choice and control over their lives, nor consistently use the least restrictive approaches in people's best interests. The policies and systems in place did not adequately support these practices.
