About Downsvale Nursing Home

Downsvale Nursing Home is a nursing home in Surrey, providing care for older people and those living with dementia. The findings below set out the CQC's most recent assessment of the service.

This residential care home supports up to 35 older people and those living with dementia across two connected buildings. During the inspection, 30 people were being cared for at the service.

Staff did not consistently follow national infection prevention and control guidelines when wearing face masks in close proximity to people using the service. While quality monitoring systems were in place, audits were not sufficiently robust to ensure staff compliance with government guidance on mask wearing.
