Autism Support and Care

Autism Care and Support, also known as Jubilee Court, accommodates up to 13 people with learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder, with 10 residents present during the inspection. The service emphasises choice, independence and inclusion, enabling residents to live as ordinary a life as any citizen. Residents reported being very happy at the home and were involved in developing their own support plans. Staff encouraged participation in new activities and provided individualised communication and coping strategies to maximise independence.

The service prioritises safeguarding and promotes residents' human rights. Staff handle incidents appropriately to keep people safe, while health needs are identified and external professionals are involved when necessary. Information is shared with other agencies as needed to support residents' wellbeing.
